Welcome our newest Staff member!

by Lee on May 26th, 2009

Church in a movie theater? Though this idea may sound strange to some, Micah and Bethany Hutchison can barely remember the last time they attended church in an actual church building.  Five years ago they followed God’s call to help to help plant a church in Queen Creek, Arizona (meeting in a school), and are excited to be a part of the team with Harvest Community Church.
Micah is a graduate from Arizona State University with a passion to help people connect with God in life-changing ways. He has led the students ministry and Sunday worship services for LifePoint Church for the past four years. Bethany enjoys her work in education as the Director of ELL for the Florence Unified School District.  Micah and Bethany treasure their family time including frequent trips to the Phoenix Zoo with their son, Eli.
Micah will be officially joining the staff of Harvest Community Church come June 1 as the new Executive Pastor.  Please take the time to welcome the Hutchison’s to HCC!

A Golden Cup of…

by Lee on May 19th, 2009

For those who know me well understand that I think of myself as a coffee connoisseur or by some people’s understanding as a coffee snob.  The reality is I am proud of my sensitive palate.  For others who share in the art of coffee tasting and who find themselves forever searching for the perfect cup of joe…I must share of a little known place with great tasting coffee.  The place is called Bergies Roast House.  It is located just North of Joe’s BBQ in Old Town Gilbert.  The place is quaint and yet fulfilling.  The owners of the little shop roast their own blends of organic coffees.  The atmosphere is great and the coffee is even better.  If you like coffee take the time to visit Bergies and I promise it won’t disappoint!
