BIG, BIG news around Harvest. If you hadn’t heard we have a home. I real place to call our own. A few weeks ago the Lord gave us a great blessing in providing us with a new building that will give us a 24/7 presence in our community. Here is a quick look at our new home…
The ability to move into an existing church building with an extended lease opportunity is a God moment that we have been praying for, but at the same time one we hadn’t imagined to happen at this time in the history of our church. In many ways this has been a dramatic movement of God.
The building is a great tool that God has provided for us to be a continuos light in our community. A community that in many ways is ruled by darkness. That is why we are kicking off a campaign we are calling DOMINATE.
Dominate. Why Dominate? In Matthew 5, Jesus calls His followers to be the light of the world, a city on the hill that cannot be hidden. Light is a dominating force. Anytime it comes in contact with darkness, light dominates and wins.
This campaign is about two things: First, reaching as many people with the good news of Jesus as physically possible; secondly, we want to maximize this opportunity, this facility to further the Kingdom of God. Simply said…we want to dominate our city with the Gospel message.
Our campaign goal is to raise $50,000 to realistically take on this project of maximizing this facility. One way to think of our new facility is that the bones are good but it is in need of a facelift (painting, landscaping, flooring, and signage). The leaders of Harvest feel that this facility will only strengthen our ministry. It will give us a 24 hour/ 7 days a week presence in the community; a place that we can bring people into, a place where we can build them up, train them, and then send out…any day of the week.
My prayer and request is that you would join us in this journey. Stack hands with us in the mission that our God has for us. Let’s be a dominating force!!!
And incase you were wondering our first services at our new home will be on June 3rd at 9:00 and 10:30.
